Seashells in British Columbia

I have a large seashell collection which I keep scattered along the beaches around the world. Maybe you’ve seen it.

British Columbia

British Columbia is Canada’s western most province. The Pacific Ocean gives the coastal regions of the province a reasonably moderate climate. For landlocked provinces like the one I live in, a trip to the BC coast is quite a novelty! We can’t return from a trip there without at least a photo of a seashell!

  1. That is a good question and I don’t have an answer for it! I think most beaches have some shells, but much depends on the time of day you are looking and how many people have strolled the beach picking shells before you that day.

Centennial Beach – Boundary Bay Regional Park seems to get lots of good recommendations, but I expect there are good ‘shell’ beaches no matter where you go in coastal British Columbia.
