Rain Drops and Snowflakes – Wonder

I Wonder about many things.

twigI wonder how many raindrops it takes to fill a puddle?

winterI wonder how many snowflakes can fit on a stalk of grass seed? I wonder, is it even possible to count snowflakes?

I think I could fill an entire blog with ‘Wonder’ quotes! Here are a few of the best:

After you’ve heard two different eyewitness accounts of the same automobile accident, you begin to wonder about the validity of history. How do we know, for sure, what ever happened anywhere?
– Bits & Pieces Vol D #5 –

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
– Variance on a quote by Stephen Wright –

People can be divided into three groups – those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened.
– John W. Newbern –

  1. I wonder about everything! This is an excellent blog. I wonder how the process of created fabric is done nowadays. It doesn’t just show up a yard of material. Before someone can ever buy the fabric, cut it then sew it, it has to be made into fabric!

    1. Hi Amanda – Things are changing so fast in the world, that even the things we used to know aren’t necessarily right now. Doesn’t that leave lots of room for new things to wonder about!

    1. Hi Jakesprinter – I can never pass up the chance of photographing a raindrop. I keep hoping that someday when I look inside one I’ll see a whole other world in there!

  2. I CAN count the number of snowflakes in your incredibly detailed and beautiful photo.

Along the lines of the auto accident quote, but in the realm of life accidents…in the last few weeks I’ve heard from both sides of 2 divorce cases involving friends. Each gave such wildly different accounts of what happened that I wonder if each person even inhabits the same planet as their soon-to-be-ex-spouse.

    1. Hi pegoleg – Glad you could stop by and ‘weigh in’ with your story of varying opinions. Too bad their stories got too far apart to reconcile!

      1. Just 10 minutes ago got a call from one of the parties to one pending divorce, saying he’s going to try to reconcile. I’m thrilled, natch, but trying frantically to remember if I told him exactly what I thought of the b*tch he married, while they were separated. Dang!

  3. Great photos for the theme. I’m mesmerized by the water drop. such beauty and mystique. Like a little world unto itself. 🙂
I really like this quote, it’s so true:
“People can be divided into three groups – those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened.
    John W. Newbern”
