At Peace on Christmas Eve – 2013

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Forgive but do not forget. Forgiving changes the perspectives. Forgetting loses the lesson

  1. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. I want to thank you so much for all that you have done this year in regards to communication with all of us at Hidden Valley……on a personal note you have helped me with your writing on the good days as well as those “bad” days as we recover from our loss. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    1. It has been a privilege for me to work with all the wonderful people from Hidden Valley. I hope we can keep the spirit of our community alive, even though our actual town no longer exists.

      I’m glad to hear my words have helped you, Brenda. There were many months when I just couldn’t write anything here, but I think the ‘fog’ is finally lifting. I hope this is true for all 305 families who have suffered so much from the flood! Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

    1. All the best to you in New York Patti! I’m looking forward to seeing more of the wild characters you see on the streets of the city!

    1. Thanks YS. Our family Christmas won’t be until we return to Canada in the New Year, but we have had a wonderful holiday season with the friends who shared their families (and food) with us on this special holiday. Happy New Year!

There, I'm finished. Now it is your turn:
