  2. The EDS commercial is (and always has been) my favourite of all time (although many of the Budweiser ads – especially the Budweiser donkey one – come close). As a long time cat owner, I can relate to the concept that cats treat humans as ‘big hairless cats’ – when they want something, they’ll let you know; otherwise, don’t bother them (they’re clearly busy with more important things!)

  3. Thank you for the laugh!! I had to watch that commercial 3 times 😀
    … and the cat quotes are hilarious. My favourite … “Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many ailments, but I never heard of one who suffered from insomnia”. Mine certainly doesn’t … as he’s currently snoozing another afternoon away under the Christmas tree.

      1. I’m grateful that my chubby guy is happy to simply sleep underneath it and doesn’t feel any inclination to climb the tree or play with the ornaments.

  5. We have a cat, no dogs but when I recently babysat my brother’s dog I learned one thing. Dogs are so needy. Cats couldn’t care less about you as long as you feed them.
    That commercial is one of those “what the heck are they advertising” ones, isn’t it?

  6. This is so funny! And quite an innovative commercial for a tech company that professes to provide solutions. I love the cowboy rolling a ball of yarn! I wish I had an imagination like this. 🙂

  7. Delightful. Only a cat owner could fully appreciate that commercial or the quotations … and I certainly do. I can’t imagine life without at least one cat telling me what to do.

    1. We are cat-less and to be truthful, I don’t miss the fur balls and small dead animal offerings!
      My daughter works one morning a week at a cat shelter, and recently sent me an invitation to adopt a cat with the same first name as me (my non-blogging name.) The description of the cat was such that my husband looked at me and said, “This cat is almost the feline description of you…”
