I’d Rather Be… Here than There

March is a strange month.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.
― Charles Dickens, Great Expectations –

I’d rather be here where it is warm:

Warm and sunny Arizona

Than there where it is cold:

Cold and snowy Alberta

Where would you rather be?

  1. Ah yes, but we’ll be heating up soon enough! You do it right only hanging around for part of the year. One day, if I’m lucky, I’ll gladly join you!

    1. Yes, we get to experience the best time of year at both locations! An added bonus is the opportunity to learn about another country!

    1. I know what you mean by warm(ish). Arizona has had some oddly cool weather lately, but still a lot better than the weather north of the 49th.

    1. You already have so many wild flowers blooming in Montana! It is still snowing in Alberta, and the cactus are just starting to bloom here in Arizona.

  2. I agree with Retirementally Challenged: I’d Rather be in Southern California.

      1. Don’t be fooled by the photos! It was looking a bit green. But 2-4 inches predicted today this first day of Spring

  4. Great Dickens quote! I don’t mind winter as long as I can sit by the woodstove and drink coffee and eat bon-bons and read murder mysteries. It’s only when I hafta go out and shovel that I begin to have second thoughts… 🔥☕️🍩📕😊❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️😖🚑💨
