Morning is wonderful. Its only drawback is that it comes at such an inconvenient time of day.
– Glen Cook, Sweet Silver Blues –
Early morning cheerfulness can be extremely obnoxious.
– William Feather –
It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.”
– H.G. Wells, The Time Machine –
I get up early and go to bed early. The Car Guy gets up late and goes to bed late. That gives each of us a 2-3 hour bit of solitude. As Martha Stewart would say, “It’s a good thing.”
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
It was a beautiful moon and planet alignment even in the frozen North. I admit, it has a much warmer appeal with palm trees providing the foreground 🙂
I’m definitely a morning person! All Hail The Sun 🌞

I shudder to think (or is that shutter) taking pictures of that alignment in the cold weather the north is getting!

I shouldn’t have bothered. I froze for nothing!

I’m like you, the wife is like the car guy. I agree, it’s a good thing.

Great photos, and some true wisdom re solitude! Funny– I used to be a night owl, but I got to the point where I kept dozin’ off and falling off the limb, so I became a morning person. Evolution at work. (“Evolution” sounds better than “getting old.”)

Evolution – I’ll have to remember that. At the south house (in a retirement community) we joke that 10 PM is ‘Old Folks Midnight’. Even the New Years Eve party at the community centre shuts down at 10 because it is, after all, Midnight on the East Coast.
