Some more of my Acrylic Pour Paint projects. The two round ones were poured on CD’s. (The white borders and dark ‘frames’ are computer generated). The photos really don’t do justice to the texture of the paint and the sheen of the Polyurethane topcoat.
I don’t think of myself as an ‘artist’. I just pour some paints on a surface, push them around a bit and the paint decides whether it is going to flow a bit or if it will rise or fall in relation to the other colours. (Different colour paints are different densities).

I’m not performing miracles, I’m using up and wasting a lot of paint.

I couldn’t have that painting hanging in my home. It would be like living with a gas leak.

I really like your pours. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that method.

I don’t know how popular the craft is, but there are certainly lots of pour paint products at craft stores and on Amazon!

Gorgeous!!! You make me want to get out the paint and try my hand at pouring again.

I agree: GORGEOUS! And lovely quotes that made me smile and reminded me of Shaw’s “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” Playing. Painting. I’m glad you’re continuing with it!

Yes, it really does feel like playing! No expectations, no pressure.

You should – I got interested in pouring because of the video you and your hubby did!

I see these pour paintings around, but don’t know that I could do one. Beyond the fact that I don’t have the paints, I fear that with my fussy nature about all things decor, I’d never like what I made.

The great thing about paint pour is if you don’t like it you can just scrape the paint off while it is wet and discard it, or let it dry and paint over top.

Beautiful pours. You’re so multi-talented.
Your quotes are spot on.
I love the way you used the cd’s. Great idea.

Thanks E.C. I’m a ‘Jack of all trades’! I’m doing most of my pours on what I find around the house or scraps of wood from the hubby’s workshop. They are also small – most aren’t much bigger than the CD, so they don’t take up a lot of room when displayed.

Wow, you are really getting into Paint Pour. Yes, you do need to consider yourself an artist.

I’ve repurposed a little used utility room in the basement into a dedicated pour room. I don’t think I would be as enthusiastic about it all if I was trying to do this in the kitchen!
